Some programs not accredited
Although Lincoln Tech is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), not all of its programs are individually accredited. For instance, the HVAC program at the Mahwah, NJ campus is not accredited by HVAC Excellence, a nonprofit organization that assesses whether HVAC programs meet industry standards.
In order for students to sit for certification exams, most states require that they graduate from an HVAC program that’s been approved by a state licensing body or accredited by one of the industry’s leading organizations, such as HVAC Excellence, the Partnership for Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Accreditation (PAHRA), or the North American Technician Excellence (NATE) organization.
Not all programs transferable
Not all programs at Lincoln Tech are transferable to other schools. This can be a big disadvantage if you decide to change schools or if Lincoln Tech goes out of business. Make sure you do your research and only enroll in a program that will be accepted at other schools.
