I’m a Charger
There’s something about the General Lee that just gets my engine revving. Maybe it’s the bright orange paint job or the fact that it can fly off jumps and keep on going. Whatever the reason, I’m a charger when it comes to this car.
Getting into the General Lee:
For me, getting into the General Lee is all about feeling the wind in my hair as I tear down back roads. It’s about pushing myself to see how far I can push the car before things start breaking. And, of course, it’s about having a hell of a lot of fun doing it.
I’m not saying that driving the General Lee is easy. In fact, it’s probably one of the most challenging cars out there to drive. But that’s what makes it so enjoyable for me. It’s a constant test of my skills and abilities, and I love every minute of it.
Getting Into the General Lee
There’s something about the General Lee that just screams “badass.” Maybe it’s the bright orange paint job, maybe it’s the Confederate flag on the roof, or maybe it’s just because it’s one of the most iconic cars in pop culture history. Whatever the reason, there’s no denying that the General Lee is one of the coolest cars around.
If you’re a fan of the TV show “The Dukes of Hazzard,” then you’ve probably dreamed of getting behind the wheel of the General Lee at some point. Unfortunately, those dreams might be dashed if you don’t have a few thousand dollars to spare – original General Lees can sell for upwards of $100,000 these days.
But there’s still hope for those of us who can’t afford an original! There are plenty of replica General Lees out there that are much more affordable – and they can be just as fun to drive. Here are a few tips on how to get your hands on a replica General Lee:
1. Check classifieds and online auction sites – You might be surprised to find a replica General Lee for sale in your local classifieds or on an online auction site like eBay. Do some research to make sure you’re getting a good deal, though – replicas can vary greatly in quality and price.
2. Contact a replica car builder – If you can’t find a pre-built replica General Lee that meets your needs, you could always contact a professional replica car builder and have one custom made. This will obviously be more expensive than buying a ready-madereplica, but it’ll be worth it if you want an exact recreation of the original car (or if you have specific modifications in mind).
3. Build it yourself! – For true gearheads, nothing is more satisfying than building your own car from scratch. If you’re handy with tools and have access to a garage or workspace, why not try building your own replica General Lee? You’ll need to do some serious research first (and we mean serious- this isn’t something you should try without knowing what you’re doing), but it’ll be worth it when you’re driving your very own creation down The Dukes’ famous dirt road!
Dukes of Hazzard General Lee Videos
There are few things in this world more iconic than the General Lee, the car made famous by The Dukes of Hazzard. 2. “Getting Into The General Lee” – This video is great for anyone who’s ever wondered how they would get into a real-life version of the General Lee. The General Lee: The Car
The General Lee has been a pop culture icon for decades, appearing in movies, TV shows, and video games. The car is most famous for its starring role in the TV series The Dukes of Hazzard. The show ran for seven seasons from 1979 to 1985 and featured the mischievous antics of two cousins, Bo and Luke Duke, as they outran the law in their orange 1969 Dodge Charger. The General Lee was known for its signature horn (which played the opening bars of the song “Dixie”), its rebel flag paint job, and its ability to seemingly defy physics by clearing impossibly long jumps.
In recent years, there has been some controversy over whether or not The General Lee should be considered a racist symbol due to its Confederate flag paint job. However, many fans of the show argue that the car is simply a harmless piece of pop culture nostalgia. Whatever your opinion on the matter, there’s no denying that The General Lee is one of the most iconic cars in American history.
The General Lee: The Legend
The General Lee is one of the most iconic cars in American pop culture. It was first introduced in the TV show The Dukes of Hazzard, and since then it has been featured in countless movies, TV shows, video games, and toys. The car is named after Confederate general Robert E. Lee, and it has become a symbol of southern pride and rebel spirit.
Despite its popularity, the General Lee has been criticized for its association with the Confederacy and slavery. Some people have even called for the car to be banned from public display. However, fans of the General Lee argue that it is simply a piece of pop culture history and that it should be treated as such.
The General Lee: The Legacy
The General Lee has been a staple of American pop culture for over 40 years. The iconic orange 1969 Dodge Charger from the television show The Dukes of Hazzard has been seen by millions of people and is instantly recognizable. Even if you’ve never seen the show, you probably know about The General Lee and its place in American history.
So how did this car become such an icon? It all started with the show’s creator, Gy Waldron. Waldron was inspired by a real-life moonshiner named Robert “Boss Hogg” Reynolds, who would outrun the law in his own orange Charger. When it came time to create The Dukes of Hazzard, Waldron decided to give his characters their own orange Charger, which he christened “The General Lee”.
Waldron originally intended for The General Lee to be simply a prop used in chase scenes and other action sequences. However, the car quickly became one of the most popular elements of the show, thanks in part to its catchy theme song (“I’m a charger!”) and its spectacular stunts (including jumps over rivers and gorges). As the popularity of The Dukes of Hazzard grew, so too did interest in The General Lee.
Today, there are numerous websites devoted to The General Lee, including fan sites, history sites, and even sites where you can buy replica cars. There are also dozens of videos on YouTube featuring footage of people “getting into” or “driving” The General Lee (often without permission). Despite being more than four decades old, The General Lee remains an American icon that continues to fascinate fans around the world.
The General Lee: The Future
As the world changes, so must The General Lee. What was once a simple car used to transport moonshine has become an icon of Americana, and a symbol of freedom and rebellion. But times have changed and The General Lee must change with them.
That’s why we’re excited to introduce The General Lee: The Future. This car is everything that the original was, but updated for the 21st century. It’s still got that classic orange paint job and those famous Confederate flag decals, but under the hood it’s packing some serious horsepower. And we’ve added some modern touches like Bluetooth connectivity and a state-of-the-art sound system.
But even though we’ve made some changes, one thing remains the same: The General Lee is still built for speed. So whether you’re cruising down Main Street or tearing up the open road, this car will make you feel like the king of the world.
So come on down to Hazzard County and check out The General Lee: The Future. We think you’ll like what you see.
The “hey mr policeman lyrics the dukes of hazzard” is a song that was sung by the Dukes of Hazzard. The General Lee is a car from the show.
